Hello
Can we change the employer after filling the CEC application?
Does it affect the application in any case?

Nope. I left my old job that I applied for CEC with for a new position with the BOWP I got from the CEC application. All worked out very well and it didn't affect or delay my PR by any means. Just let them know and send the offer letter/pay stub/employment letter etc.

Thanks Zingy.. How often CIC calls the employer for verifying details like job duties and all..??

For the new job? It's not part of your CEC experience so I don't think they verify it at all..

Not for new employer.. but from Old employer whom i got the reference letters and work experience?

That should depend a lot on the employer and type of job, and how convincing your reference letter is. Obviously the VO make the discretion..

I worked for a big local public university so they didn't ever called them, but I think they would have verified with my current employer, which is a small private company with less than 25 people, if I had used that as CEC experience..

Probably they would call my employer because i am working as a Web Developer in a small Local Landscaping Company. :(

So be nice and work hard for your employer ;)

:( :( Does VO go by Employer Company Profile ( my case Landscaping) or by Job Duties which are mentioned here (my duties from reference letter):

• Plan, design, write, modify, integrate and test Web site related code.
• Plan and Design mock-ups for Web pages.
• Design and Develop appearance, layout and flow of the Web sites.
• Perform routine quality checks to Web sites.
• Update content by designing and coding Web pages.
• Responsible for cross browser compatibility Web site functionality.
• Maintain e-commerce Web sites and quality standards.
• Responsible for designing and developing content management pages on e-commerce Web sites.
• Perform testing on programming modules relating ecommerce Web sites.
• Responsible for recognizing and debug issues in Web site functionality.
• Co-ordinate with multidisciplinary teams to develop Web site graphics, content, capacity and interactivity.
• Research and Implement Search Engine Optimization Strategies.
• Responsible for generating Search Engine Optimization Reports.
• Diagnose and Resolve Technical Hardware, Software and Network issues.
• Identifying and Escalating situations requiring urgent attention.
• Research and Evaluate a variety of interactive media software products.
• Implement and Perform security audits on Web sites.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

What you think are these good and detailed enough ?

Your duties are like 3 times longer than mine :o Definitely detailed enough. VO should go with individual duties more than company profile..

Actually I am planning to change my job..I dont know ..I should move or stay.. :( :(

Hi ,
I am planning to quit my job after 12.5 months of CEC experience and file for CEC and move to the states to join my Family there. Will this be a problem ?
As per my understanding , one need not work beyond 12 months to qualify for CEC PR.Correct me if I am wrong.

Thanks,

Aguntupalli : Yes as long as you have completed your 52 weeks of full time employment.

CEC_1304: You are right bro.. :) Thanks for advising.. but what kind of risk you think ??

No such risk. I think he is overly concerned.
