Hi dear forumists , I landed in Toronto on June 22nd 2010 with a plan to fly back on July 28th 2010 after receiving the PR card , well it's been exactly 30 days today but still received nothing , The CIC website says that it takes 30 days (including 10 mailing days ) to get the card , am a little bit worried now, am supposed to go back in exactly one week , and i do not wanna leave the country without the card , i tried calling the following numbers but they are all unavailable
18882422100 and 18002422100 , no way to contact them now and know about the card status
So , does anyone please has another number to contact the PR card processing center within Canada?
Thanks

Sometimes it can take a bit longer, 6-8 weeks to get the card. Hopefully you will have it before you leave. If not, whoever is at the address you gave, I assume you have friends or family you are staying with, can mail you or fed-ex you the card.

In my case also, I landed and May 20, 2010 and returned back on June 22, 2010 but till date my PR card has not been delivered at Canadian address. In summers every year, due to large number of immigrants, the PR department takes more than 45-60 working days to process the cards. It is a normal practice. Before leaving Toronto, I also tried to contact them to get he status but they said it is a system driven process and PR cards shall be delivered as per the turn.

I am expecting PR cards by the end of this month. Actually, I have friends who landed in April 2010 and they received PR cards after 2 months and 10 days. And as far courier is concerned, many ppl have done this without any problem. When using courier we should go for the best ones like FEDEX, DHL etc. and opt for the insurance as well.

Hello ,
Sushid0c : Landed 20th May but not received card till date
MARMAN_27 : Landed 30th May and received card on 20th July
So based on the above information shared by the people here one can say that though one person landed on 30th but still received card . The one landed on 20th May ( 10 days earlier ) have not received it
I landed in first week July and have to travel back by second week of August . Do I need to reschedule my flight for 1st week of September .
Even rescheduling flight in Air India is subjecting the traveller to a penalty of more than 100 dollors .

Please advise seniors . I have no one to collect my PR card on my behalf ..
NO RELATIVES ...NO FRIENDS .....BUT YES ONLY MY SENIORS ON THIS FORUM WHOM I TRUST AND HAVE FAITH ON ..............
Staying in a temporary accomodation .....
Thanks

I have just spoken with the agent. She shocked me by saying that My Canadian address is not there in the system. Whereas to avoid any confusion, I took address on computer printed paper and same paper I gave to IO. I remember very well that he read address to confirm it. After completing the application, he also said the PR cards will reach us within 4-6 weeks if the address is correct.

I THINK PEOPLE LIKE US WHO GO THERE INITIALLY FOR SHORT PERIOD SHOULD VISIT PR OFFICE TO CONFIRM THE CORRECTNESS OF ADDRESS AFTER COUPLE OF DAYS OF LANDING AND PRETEND TO PROVIDE THEM ADDRESS FOR THE FIRST TIME. BY THIS WAY WE MAY BE SURE OF ENTRY AND EXISTENCE OF ADDRESS IN THE SYSTEM. ALSO, WE SHOULD NEVER TELL THEM AT THE TIME OF ENTRY THAT WE ARE IN CANADA FOR SHORT STAY, THIS WAS THE MISTAKE WHICH I DID.

Anyhow, I again gave address to agent and she has also reconfirmed it. As per her now the PR cards will be delivered in another month's time.
