Please post your query on the thread here.
Request you to kindly help me out with an issue. I had a visa refusal from Qatar in December 2013. When applying for AINP i had submitted Schedule A 5669 form where i had ticked no for previous visa refusal as i had totally forgotten about the visa refusal. Post ITA upon reading the statutory question I realised I had given NO earlier. Now i am planning to fill it as yes and explain it in LOE.
Will this be a problem now as i have mentioned no in AINP imm 5669 and planning to give yes in post ITA ? If I put yes now will it cause any threat to Ainp nomination?

Kindly advice

This won't be an issue as provinces do not check prior refusals or the reasons for that. As long a you address it and explain it in LoE, you will be fine.

Thank u so much..im relieved to hear ths..can u pls clarify on the below points as well?
1. Should I inform my case officer in Alberta that I had forgotten to mention the visa refusal when I had applied for nomination?
2. When writing to IRCC should i mention that I had forgotten to inform Alberta about my visa refusal when i filled their IMM 5669 form earlier?
3. Or should I just mention the details of visa refusal and leave out the details of not informing Alberta?
Thanks for your quick reponses in this issue

I have this situation where I do only have my provisional certificate for my bachelor's degree and not the Original Degree.I graduated in 2010 and the university didn't have any notifications back then on when to get that and I came to US and things got busy and completely forgot about that. So now is this Provisional Certificate sufficient to apply while submitting the documents post ITA ?? I have all documents uploaded but not this , any help is appreciated !! @legalfalcon and others !

Question. I received AOR yesterday and earlier this morning I noticed that background check says "We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information." From what I've been reading up online, this should happen IP2 stage? What does this mean?

There is no such thing a sIP or IP2. The BGC will show in progress once when IRCC is doing criminality and then again when its is doing security.

BGC = Criminality + Security.

The stages of an application are:

R10
Medicals
Criminality
Eligibility
Security

You can look these up in the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act and they are also shown in your GCMS notes. There is nothing known as IP or IP2 that you will ever see in the law or your GCMS notes. You can might as well call them ducks, oranges or whatever you feel like.

To read on the stages of an application see: https://bit.ly/2Qf0Sm6

Although IRCC says the processing time is of six months, I have seen people with September-October 2018 AOR still waiting for PPR. I understand that there is a huge backlog which is the primary cause of extended processing time.

Can anyone tell me how long does IRCC take these days on an average to process an application after AOR?
