Hi everyone. Hope you are doing fine.
Need another help concerning about the Date I first became qualified to practice in this occupation.
My NOC is 6313 as a hotel supervisor in Canada and this is my current job. I am claiming points from this job. Before this, I was a front desk agent in a different hotel and the NOC is different from which I am not getting any point.. So I believe that the Date I first became qualified to practice in this occupation will be the first date I joined my current job as a hotel supervisor.
Seeking some expert opinion about my thoughts if I am thinking right or wrong. Thanks in advance.

The NOC code you are claiming points under is the one you'll specify.

So My qualifying date will be the day I first started this job in Canada under the NOC code I am claiming points right?

In another thread here, someone wrote that for Canadian experience class the Date will be the Date I got work permit. That made me confused.

if you aren't claiming point for the old job, that would go in the "history" section. You won't be asked a NOC for that. So that doesn't count.

For WP date, people don't right way get job, sometimes. My spouse waited 9 months with WP for a job. He was evaluated as "unemployed" for those months, eventhough he had a valid WP.

I also got WP in Feb, job started in April so my CEC work ex. counted from April to the April of next yr

I am sorry but my question was not about NOC. My question was about the Date I first became qualified to practice in this occupation. So which one will be the date? The work permit date or the starting date of the NOC code point claimed job?
Hope I could make my question clear. Thanks.

I am sorry if I confused you. :)

I thought you're confused between start date of the qualifying work required under CEC. Really sorry. :)

So, for your question CIC says : http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=1127&top=29

☺ Well. Thanks for the link. I checked this link before but it still does not say any clear thing about Canadian experience class. The reason I am asking is: in my home country my educational qualification and my work both were totally different than the job I am doing now in Canada and claiming points from this. So the word qualified is still banging in my head and making me confused about this date not you.

OK! I understand that. What is the minimum education required for your current job?

My NOC is 6313, accommodation and tourism related supervisor and this is Canadian experience. I graduated from bachelor of Architecture. The link you provided says the qualification for this job is:
  • Completion of secondary school is usually required.
  • Completion of college courses related to the area supervised may be required.
  • Experience in the occupation supervised is usually required.
  • Casino gaming licenses are usually required for all casino employees.
