I'm sure the address shown on the Guide is only for mailed applications (as it is a box number), but I can't seem to find the physical address for a courier package. Also, does anyone have advice on what is the cheapest courier option from the US? I looked at overnight from Seattle to Mississagua (Fedex I think) and it was about $80!!! Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Hey Annie,

Here it is - the last address on the page http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/offices/canada/mississauga.asp

Sorry - no idea about courrier from the US but I think a lot of people are using UPS and Fedex. It depends on how big the package is, and how fast you want it there..
Good luck,
Sweden

Thanks Sweden! I will be so happy to have that package on it's way!!

we sent ours three day the first time(yes I said first time....) with UPS and we are in the Seattle area. I think it was around $70 and then when we got our whole packet sent back to us when we sent it the second time(it was missing a signature) I did next day delivery and I think it was $115. Ours was a little over the 4 pounds.
But when it comes down to it was well worth the cost just so that I got a signature to know that they got our package... seeing as how you don't hear anything from CIC until you get stage one approval. For us it was more about the fact that the extra $40 to send it by currier was worth the fact that I didn't have to go through USPS or Canada Post...lol

Thanks mameelynn. Yes, I'm thinking if we want to get it there fast AND know it arrived, we'll probably just have to pay the price. I have tried to send a few things through the mail system..what a joke! .. they just don't do "international" very well, even if it's right next door LOL

you definitely want to have the option of tracking - because CIC doesn't always acknowledge that your application has been received ( sometimes they do, sometimes they don't!), and believe me - after the efforts, money, time and energy spent on the application, it's worth spending the extra bucks (in my opinion at least! :-) ) to know that it got there, safe - and it's sitting on a shelf somewhere waiting to be opened...
Good luck!

Yeah I know what you mean about international! It was a bit of a shock for me when I first herd the price but when I looked at the grand scheme of immigration and the cost of moving and whatnot it was a pretty small price to pay for how much man (more like woman) power was put into getting all of our paperwork together!
