Hello Everyone,
I am a PR common law inland applicant for quebec (based in gatineau, next to ottawa). My application was submitted in May and I already have AOR, 2 year OWP (case type 27) and CSQ in hand.
My private health insurance is running out and I am looking for a replacement. I will soon have to register in my home country as a non-eu resident, thus losing access to all eu based insurance.
I tried to contact RAMQ and after saying that the CSQ was enough for me, they eventually said that since I work in ontario I cannot get access to the health coverage. I have to wait for my COPR. How is this possible? I have been living in quebec for more than a year now, my partner is canadian, and pay taxes here in QC.
I found myself in some kind of a loophole and I risk being 7 months without health insurance. All the private health insurance here a thought as a supplement to your basic health plans, so those are not an option either. Any suggestion?
Thanks in advance.
