IELTS Request
Entered in EE Profile
Hi,

I recently received my PPR without request for any additional documents. It was as smooth as possible and I would like to share some myths which made me nervous:
1. I didnt provide WES or IELTS scan along with my documents. It was not asked and I didnt add them along with my educational assessment.
2. I only shared bio data pages for my passports. I didnt share any travel or stamped pages along.
3. My WES Reference codes ended with '/mg' and not with IMM. And I put the entire things 'XXXXXXXXX/mg' in my profile
4. I provided bank certificates and EPF as proof of funds. I didnt provide any statement from my bank.
5. I provided passport for showing relationship to my sister in Canada
6. For employment documents, for an old job I just provided the joining letter and releasing certificate. I put a cover letter that it was an old job and these are all the documents I preserved.
7. I provided a mix of color and B/W copies.

Additions:
8. I never for a Second AOR. Just the one which everyone receives within minutes of submission.
9. I had my passport renewed in April 2015. I got ITA with old passport but submitted only new passport details. Didnt even send copies of old passport on which I had got ITA.

I hope these are useful for people and clears some of the repeated questions.

Thank you! This is really helpful to know. Congrats on your PR and I hope you have a great future in Canada.

One small question, how detailed was your letter detailing your work experience?

Thanks and +1 to you for this valuable info.

thanks for the info, it's nice to see a post from someone who's already got the PR. I was wondering what happened to all those people that got an ITA, and assumed that people who got the PR don't need to use the forum anymore...

wow Saurabh . . . looking at that seems like you got very very lucky and you got a really good VO.

I have seen a lot of people's application getting rejected because of any of these myths being true!!!!

So I would say it might be okay to relax a little if anyone have done anything as mentioned in the points above but it is always better to be on the positive side and be cautious about these myths.

Thanks Sam
If you mean cover letter then it was quite detailed. I described my job experience and asked that to be taken as a declaration from my side.

FOr my current job I provided as much as possible, including:
1. Work experience from Company HR (This covered full time employee, perks, tenure dates, positions held etc)
2. Reference Letter from my manager (this covered roles and responsibilities)
3. Salary Annexure (This covered current salary)

Above 3 covered CICs requirement, then I added following as well:
1. Payslips
2. Tax returns

But all this I was able to provide for my current job only. For my older job, I mentioned it in the cover letter and provided only joining letter and release letter..

I hope it is useful ..

I want to say that you are right .. I have also read a few cases here and there but at the end of the day, I covered my bases and expected CIC to be reasonable (even if they had asked for additional documents)..

In my case, wherever I had multiple documents I put a cover letter which served as first page of all PDFs, Something like this:

This document is submitted against CIC requirement for Education Proof. I am providing following documents as required:
This document contains following proofs:

<<Below is in table format>>
S. No. Items Page Number Description
1 Master’s Degree from XYZ 2 <<One liner about the document>>
2 Transcript of Master’s Degree 3-4
3 Bachelor’s Degree from XYZ 5
4 Transcript of Bachelor’s Degree 6-14
5 Secondary School Transcript 15
6 Senior Secondary School Transcript 16

Rest all I left to them .. if not anything, I expected this to help the VO and fasten my process.. I wasnt disappointed..

But you are right, this should be taken as an acceptable standard and in all cases, we should try to provide bare minimum plus some more to support our cases..

Hi srbhrn,

Hii Saurabh..congratulations for your PR!!

Regarding your educational documents...did your ECA from WES evaluate your masters as masters? if yes, can you please share with us details of your degrees? As many of us having M.Sc. from India have been evaluated by WES as having Bachelors degree (4 years) + one year graduate study.
Information provided by you will be really useful for many of us.

thanks

2. What did you show for EPF ? Statement
3.Is it ok to get a PCC from Regional Passport office or do we need to go to local police station ? (For Bengaluru)

For POF what exactly do you mean by a bank certificate? What information did it have?
