Earlier in the year, CIC was issuing press releases left and right, boasting about how many people were sworn in across Canada. In the first three months, there were over 75,000 new Canadians. It then took almost 2 more months (last week of May) to reach 100,000. Since then, the press releases - as best I can tell - have only included figures for local offices or special occasions such as Canada Day, and not about total Canada-wide numbers.
I wonder if the slowdown extended into June and July back to 2013 levels of around 10,000 per month. I guess we'll find out in a week or so if new numbers are published at the end of July.
