Cic asked for bio metrics, today i sumbit my application..quick response

Hello,
Today i submit my study permit application.
And got two mails one for receiving application .in 2nd mail they ask for bio metrics nearest Canada VAC.
What does it mean? Need advice from senior members please tell me is all going on right place.

Is that immediate they ask i mean with in some hours of submission ? 1st time applying online so dont know the procedures. Its my 2nd attempt
