Hi everyone.... I have come across a small problem, while filling the forms, more specifically the education section. It's not very clear as to where a "Chartered Accountant" should be placed. There is no option for others, they only have options for bachelors, masters and Phd.

Help please

What other degree you have apart from CA

I think,, chartered accountant in india is equivalent to master degree

dont look for equivalency because CFA is also said to be equivalent to a masters but i don't think they look at it as a masters. Well, who knows they might and you could get away with it. If you have enough points without taking in points for the CA designation, then don't assume it is a masters. From previous post on here, it sounds like its a designation rather than a diploma or masters but you should claim points for the apprenticeship that one does before getting a CA designation, which I think is 3 years, in which case you will get 22 points (i think).

this might help you

With B.Sc & C.A., from india i have assumed 22 points. Have not received any query yet from cic. To be on the safer side check yr total score with 22 or less.

i think 22 points is correct (personal opinion) because it is not a degree but it does have a 3 year apprenticeship.
