Hi,

I applied for my PR through Buffalo (Skilled worker category) with arranged employment, in July 2008. I currently live in Canada on a work permit. I have recently lost my Job, and cannot find another company to sponsor my new work permit, this means i most likely will go back to my home country. I have my file number, and recently received a letter stating that my file is transferred to Detroit for processing. The below are my questions:

1. If i go back to my home country (India), will my file be transferred to India, and will this affect the processing time?
2. Can i give a friends address in Canada, and continue with the application as is?
3. If i can go with option 2, can i do my medicals in another country?

Thanks!

1. File will be transferred if you inform them change of address. 2. Yes. You may have a problem if u r called for interview or passport.3 . Yes

The OP can request Detroit to transfer the file, they will only transfer if "it enhance the integrity of the process"
