Celpip - Writing Component

Hi there,

I completed my CELPIP exam and got great marks in all areas, except for the writing component.

I scored an 8, I have since paid to have it re-evaluated but the mark remained the same.

I am wondering if anyone has any tips as to what they look for in the writing component? English is my first and only language, so I am trying to figure out how I can improve this score.

That is probably better answered by saying: proper English. Most likely diversity in vocabulary and good grammar. I am writing mine on Saturday and briefly checked the sample test... it honestly seems extremely easy. Much much more than any of the academic versions of the TOEFL, IETLS, etc.
