Hi,

I want to apply for CEC on Oct 2011. I appreciate if someone shares the time lines with me. What is the next step and how long it usually takes to receive the first respond?

Hi

First complete your IELTS exam and get the scroes relevant to your level. Once you applied, as per CIC site, it will take 14 months, but it could be less than that, as per the analysis of the data from trackitt.com

Thank you for your reply. I have my IELTS and all the documents ready as I applied for FSW2 last year.
I hope this is faster than FSW2 application processing time in Buffalo.

i also would lime to apply for CEC. I haveall the documents except police clearence. I am from India and i am in canada since september 2009. is finger print from canada is enough. How do i get police clearence from India. Is indian consulate will issue a policeclearence. pls advise me.

apply at any indian consulates in canada for PCC and birth certificate also..........!

where you stay in canada.......!!!??

if you come under vancouver section check with vancouver consulate.!!

two seperate applications for PCC and BC.
two seperate envelops along with return envelops.........!!

two seperate drafts .......!!

i think one is around 50 dollars another one is around 60 dollara....!!!

check the consulate web for fee for application and send it through VFS...............!!!

if you r in nearby to any consulate you can go directly and do that.!! as it is less time consuming...!!

For PCC, brampton office will nto do. You need to go to Toronto Indian Embassy, make sure you have the draft ready and also the will hold your passort and will send you back aloing with certificate.

Hai thank you so much. i have applied for PCC today. Do you have any idea how long it will take to get the PCC eventhough they say 6 weeks. I am planning to go for vaccation end of december. Just wondering as they keep my passport.

6 weeks is Max duration. I got my PCC in exactly on 15th day (2 weeks).

Yes I submitted my application on Oct 14.
