Hello everyone,

I am a recent graduate of Fanshawe College, and I recently got a job offer as a Junior Systems Developer.

The problem is despite the fact I was eligible to work off-campus, the officer issuing me my study permit didn't add a paragraph that would confirm it.
Since I had a work permit issued for the whole academic term, I had no doubts about my ability to work part-time while studying since I met all criteria and even got a SIN issued for the whole term of a study permit, not my work permit
I also made small research of Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations (SOR/2002-227) and found out that since I meet all criteria of 186 (v) I also will be eligible to work while waiting for my PGWP (186 (w))

After I consult with a person from the IRCC, I found out that because I don't have a specific paragraph in my study permit, even though I meet every criterion to be able to legally work off-campus, I can not work while I am waiting for my PGWP

Also because of the COVID situation there is no way to just do flagpole for now (I contacted a CBSA), so I filled the web form on Canada.ca telling them basically the same thing and attached a job offer (which is a kind of emergercy I believe) asking them if there is still a way of speeding up the process

So, the question is: is there something I can do about and what regulation documents should I consider (besides Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations)
