Can't arrive into Canada in or prior entry date on the approval letter

Hey all! I'm new here

So, straight to the point. I got my WP approval letter, as well as my common-law partner for her OWP. On the letter says I should seek entry into Canada by 2016/11/1. However, I am fairly certain we won't be able to be there on the 1st of November.

What would happen if we arrive after that day?

I'm Colombian, bearer of a B1 visa for Canada valid for 10 years. My common-law partner is Polish. I'm relocating to my company's office in Toronto.

If you arrive after that date, you won't be issued a work permit. You'll need to reapply for a new work permit.
