I have a question about the Sponsorship Form IMM 1344 (07-2012) E.

I have indefinite leave to remain in UK, does this mean I am not eligible to sponsor? (referring to question 5, pg 2)

There's an implicit term here: "of Canada" that you should read into this question:

In the five years preceding your application, did you become a permanent resident of Canada after being sponsored as a spouse, common-law or conjugal partner?

They don't care that you became a PR of a foreign country, they're only interested in your situation in Canada.
