Hi guys, I just want to ask you about my case, I came to Canada on an open work permit and now I had achieved 1 year experience here in Canada in my field of studies Mechanical Engineering with an approved ECA. But I am confused as I did't have any license to work as an Engineer and I was not signing any document at work. So my question can I still apply under Canadian Experienced Class? Will they consider my experience as an Engineer? And can I apply for Ontario provincial nomination?

Many thanks in advance.

You do not need a license to work as an engineer. You do need a license to use the title, Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) and to approve drawings.

You should be fine, as long as you do not claim to be P.Eng. : )
