Hi All,

I am presently in Canada on a business visa sponsored by my organisation for training purposes. The client in Canada wants to offer me job offer. My question is:

1. If I get a job offer, my points will be enough to get a invite for PR in the subsequent draw. So can I still continue to stay in Canada on business visa if it’s valid?

2. Can I do the PR formalities from within Canada? Whenever I will be needing to submit my passport I can go them to india if that’s needed as PR process takes 6-7 months .

Thanks

1. A job offer isn't enough to get the additional 50 points. To get the 50 points, your employer also needs to obtain an approved LMIA. Obtaining an approved LMIA typically takes 4-6 months. If you want to remain in Canada, you will need to apply to extend your visit based on how long you were allowed into Canada when you arrived at the border.
2. Yes - you can do everything from within Canada.

Yes Considering If I get my LMIA nd I still have valid business Visa for 2 more years.
The visa does not allow you to stay in Canada for two years - that's just validity of the visa, not how long you are allowed to stay here. Again, how long you are allowed to stay here is determined by CBSA when you enter Canada - typically it's six months at the most but can be much shorter. You need to apply to extend your visa if you want to stay longer. Applying for PR does not entitle you to remain in Canada.

LMIA isn’t guaranteed. Are you actually remaining in Canada for training purposes? You can’t just start working for the client. Your visa was to come and work on behalf of your Indian organization so you can’t start working for the Canadian company while you wait for PR. Immigration doesn’t react well at being misled.

I work in an Indian based service company so they want to sponsor my work permit through ICT but since i am already in the pool of express entry(short of 30 points) my organisation is thinking if instead of work permit they can give me job offer from canadian branch and help me get my PR

Do you qualify for ICT? Are you management? Do they have LMIA proving that there is no Canadian applicant that can do your job?
