I did not get the difference between the new policy and the previous one. The conditions are the same, if the study program is for min. of 2 years you will receive a 3 year job search permit and when you work for 1-year full time. You can apply for permanent residence through express entry. The new regulations are the same
International student graduates
Canada will accept up to
40,000 recent international student graduates as permanent residents.
To be eligible, you need to have graduated from a post-secondary
Designated Learning Institution (DLI) after January 2017, and before you submit your application. You also have to be working in Canada at the time of your application. Self-employed worktravail is not eligible.
Your diplomadiploma or degreedegree may have been completed at a DLI in Quebec, however, you have to be applying to live in any other province.
Generally speaking, programs must be no less than eight months in duration. For a Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS) or an Attestation of Vocational Specialization (AVS), each programprogramme of study must be at least 900 hours in length and the combined program of study must be at least 1,800 hours.
