Hey Everybody I was issued a 1 year PGWP when I was outside Canada. I followed the process entirely in a different country, my passport was stamped and thus I got a 1 year TRV (because of 1 year earlier education in Canada). However after I got my passport stamped, I decided to stay outside Canada for 6 more months due to personal reasons.

When I landed in canada, I was issued a full 1 year PGWP beginning the date of my arrival in Canada. This date is 6 months more than the stamp on my passport.

My question is, could i actually apply for a TRV extension for such a short extra duration (only 6 more months)? Does anyone have a previous experience with this case?

Just to clarify things, my situation right now:
Permit expires: October 1, 2026.
Stamp Expires: March 31, 2026
