Cairo VO recieved my passport 2 months ago. for what reasons could be the delays

they requested my passport with 2 recent photoes and recieved it 2 months a go. and im still waiting . what could caused this delay
i noted people they have thier passports back within 2 to 6 weeks. but i dont understand why they still havenot send it back for 2 months, any advice or ideas and is this normal ??????
p.s i emialed them many times and no answer..

Hey Fadi Pal,

I don't know how your VO works, as each VO is different. Some VO request the passport at the very beginning of the process, and keep it until the end, like Manilla, New Delhi for example, other VO only request the passport when they are ready to issue the visa... so maybe your VO is like that - they request at the beginning, but it doesn't mean that they are ready to issue the visa. In that case the 2 months is normal. Cairo has a waiting time of 14 months, so depending on when your application was received, it might be completely normal that you have not heard from them.

Maybe some other applicants going through the same VO can comment a little more.

hey sweden. i know what u mean. my file bas been at cairo for more than 14 months. i did the second medical. and paid my rprf fees. and at the end they requested the pp. but it has been there at the embassy for the last 2 months. just wanna know . is this normal. ? o r should i worry . cuz at cairo they request the pp at the end.

that happened In Beirut V.O with some applicants but they got their visas in the end, although this is not common in Beirut but it happened

it seems like a long time, but since they have requested the rprf and the second medical, you should be done soon... I don't think you should worry. I know that sometimes it takes quite a long time for the RPRF information to reach the VO - did you send them a copy of your payment information ? so that they have everything? from what I understand from other applicants, the RPRF is paid to CIC, and then they have to inform the VO that you have paid - and it might take a while. If you have mailed them a copy of your receipt, then you have done everything possible, and it should be with you very soon.

yea sweden. i already paid. and the visa office confirmed that the payment has been recieved .. thats when they requested the pp.with 2 photoes
and been waiting since. yea i forgot to mention that they requested a copy of csq which i already included it in the file from the begining. but some how they couldnot locate it in the file. anyway. i sent a scaned copy also faxed it to them at the same day .. that was 3 weeks after recieving my passport. and been waiting since. so do u think that might have caused the delays.. even though they told me in that email to send us the copy of this csq asap to finlized the file. but its been 4 weeks since and didnot hear anything.

Sometimes it is really difficult to understand what is causing the delays, but as a general rule, the more documents are sent, the more it causes delays - so maybe that's the reason. They have to receive it, then find your file again etc - the important part is now that they have all they need to issue your visa, and inshallah it will be done soon.
