I am wondering how long a BOWP will take to be issued? I got AOR on 18th June so hoping for PR soon. But work permit expires 20th Dec. if I apply for BOWP now it might not even be issued by Dec, I hope to have PR by then anyway. I'm just worried I end up with no PR and no work permit. Any one else have any thoughts or advice?

you need to download and type the info and validate and prit it..imm5556 and imm5710..its same form for all the work permit.however..you need to make a cover letter stating that thia is bridging open work permit and submit the docs as per IMM 5556 plus your AOR..its confusing bt..search other thread for bowp..you will get more info..thanks.

its too late for bowp..u r right..before bowp..ur pr will be finalized..its 3 to more than 4 months..for bowp processing...

Hey thanks a lot, I am applying without AOR i will be using the first AOR. My work permit expires in 2 weeks so i have to go ahead without the 2nd. i was thinking to explain in my letter of explanation about this.

1. "what are you paying for?"
answer will be : work permit (including extensions), correct?

2.when i select "Pay your Fees" option it asks me if i want to pay for work permit or open work permit. I am guessing i will be paying for work permit $155?

No, I never had a second AOR or Eligibility Passed on myCIC.

I did with what I had at the moment, which was the first AOR.

Perfect thanks. You are the first person I saw who got their bowp approved using express entry and applying after May 20. May 20 was the date when they updated bowp eligibility requirements on their website.

You wrote a letter of explanation too right?

I got mine approved exactly after 4 months under EE profile though both are independent of each other. Still waiting on EE decision

and alsi the work permit holder fee of 100..total shd be 255..thanks..

Hey Congrats on receiving your BOWP. I am in process of applying BOWP,Do you mind if i ask you couple questions?

How much is the fee for BOWP? is it $155 (work permit) or $100 (open work permit) or both?

In application to change condition IMM5710, question 3: I am applying for one or more of the following: is the answer "a work permit with the same employer or temporary resident permit or should i select both"
