Hi,

I'm a CEC applicant and about to submit my application for BOWP shortly.
I'd like to know if my spouse can also submit a BOWP as she is on a SOWP?

Thanks.

/QUOTE]

Only principal applicants are eligible for the BOWP.

However, she can submit an application to extend her SOWP based on your BOWP application. You can submit both applications at the same time, but keep in mind her SOWP will be dependent on your BOWP, so you will have to include the AOR with her application too.

Thank you so much. So can I submit both applications together or do it separately?
Well, they are separate applications, but you can submit them at the same time. With the postal strike, it makes even more sense to do it electronically...

Thank you so much Jes. One more doubt. Our work permit expires on December 7th.
Once I submit the application for my wife, would she go into Implied Status allowing her to continue her work?
I intend to write a letter of explanation explaining them to consider her application based on my BOWP application.

Um... you have to understand, your wife has to apply for her own permit. You can help her, of course, but the application (and any letters) must come from her. LOE is a good idea, Just make sure to include the AOR email for your PR application.

She would be in implied status after her permit expires (assuming she applies for her SOWP before the old one expires).

Absolutely... It would be a letter from her. Thanks a lot for your help.
