Birth Certificate

Is birth certificate a mandatory requirement for a CEC application ? What are the alternatives available for me as I do not have my birth certificate. Please advice.

Varies from case to case. Some Visa Officers' do accept Certificate of Date of Birth issued by the Consulate. Some accept School Records with father's name. Many others insist on an Affidavit or Statutory Declaration either executed by yourself in Canada or by your parents at your Place of Birth.

Safest bet.... send all the three.

Thanks Andy2109. I do not have my birth certificate as my birth is not registered but i do have my school certificate with my DOB clearly mentioned on it. Will it work for me ??

Many applications being rejected for lack of Date of Birth evidence. I suggest going ahead with your school record and also the Affidavit.
