Hi All,

My Husband has received a letter from the embassy asking him to provide the financial resources that he has for him and the family to settle in Canada, we are a total of 5, what is the minimum money we should have available? Is there an amount required for each person?

Thanks for your help …

they don't ask for the minimum income for the spouse and dependants,
but you can read the minimum income requirements for other members of family at the following link:

I'm assuming your husband is the sponsor and he's living outside of Canada?

They sometimes ask this to see how you (the entire family) intend to relocate to Canada. As the sponsor, he has to move with you to Canada once you get PR, so he's expected to show that he will be able to do so.
There is no set amount for this. They just want to see that you have some savings that will enable you to get started with your life in Canada. If you have plans to stay with family or friends or anything else already prepared in Canada, you should inform them of that as well if you haven't yet - shows you're preparing to relocate.

Good luck!
