My previous company is only accepting to include a one-liner for the description of my duties (NOC 2174), e.g: responsible for developing the software applications and other software engineering duties. Is it advisable to ask for this to be included, or it might make the officer consider it a misrepresentation, since the notarized reference letter from my colleague will be much more detailed and extensive regarding my list of duties?
Also is there usually a delay in approving an application if the companies won’t provide the duties in their letterhead reference letter and I have to include letters from colleagues instead?
