Hi friends,

Passports sent to CIC on March 13, 2015 and received the CoPR's and passports back this morning.
Planning to land sometime this week.

I was doubtful if CIC would request for a new passport copy as I had only less than 5 months of validity, but they did not.
Got the CoPR and visa for until 5 months from now. Glad that everything went smoothly.

Regards,
Canadiian

Same here! I just got my passport. However, my CoPR is a bit weird. I don't see last entry date or anything like that (all BLANK). I quickly search the forum and I found that you can land anyways. I can't believe that CIC can't print the CoPR correctly! Anyways, I'm planning to land next weekend at Rainbow Bridge.

You are lucky man. CIC has asked me new passport copy/new. Anyway, I have already submitted last week.

Now waiting for their response. Hope they won't any documents. Other than "ready for visa" mail. :D :)

Hi guys,

I received an email titled "Ready For Visa" this evening, but CIC never asked for a PCC from me. I did not include the Canadian PCC in the original application as well. Does anyone know if it is normal?

What's your background?

Hi,
yes, it's normal. Not everyone gets the request for submitting RCMP.

Congratulation !!

Hi, I am in India and i sent in a request for my 2nd gcms notes 2 weeks back. I had attached a letter along with in which i had given my consent to release information regardng my file to a friend of mine who is currently in Canada.

The applciation was made bascially as if my friend was requesting information on my behalf.

My question is that have i followed the correct approach or did i need to fill out any particular consent form (IMM something ?) and not the letter which i have uploaded..??
I dont want to end up waiting another two weeks just for the CIC \ATIP to come back saying that the consent form which u uploaded is not the correct format.etc.?

You are required to fill in this form, otherwise they will contact you and say that they cannot process your application without it: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/atip/form-imm5744.asp

oh Thanks a lot... seems like i should have posted this query earlier.. un-necessarily wasting 2 weeks of time as now i am sure that they will come back with a rejection to my gcms request :( :(
Good thing is that i still saved 2 weeks :)

thanks again..

Congratulation !!

Congrats!!! You should be good. Don't worry about the dates. You can amend them later.
