You could go ahead and read my post. I am actually trying to apply as a student for my MA-Economics Program. (If the offer letter comes in i.e. lol)! I do not need a biometrics since I am from Nepal.

I applied on 3 Aug 2015 online from US. Biometrics 5 August 2015. I applied study permit for myself and Open WOrk Permit for my Spouse.

Admission: MA English at Uni. of Calgary.

I applied online study permit on 3 August 2015 from US (Los Angels Visa Office most probably). Biometrics on 4 Aug.
I have received email today from CIC that my application has been updated. When I go to my CIC account there are no new messages and status of my application is still open. It is strange for me. Does anyone know why is it so? ............Please reply.

I received medical request letter on 24 AUG 15. I went to physicians office for medical exam on 27 AUG 15. Due to such unprofessional attitude of the physician my medical information status has updated yesterday ON 14 SEPT. I APPEARED FOR MEDICAL EXAM ON 27TH AUG AND THEY SENT MY REPORT TO CIC ON 5TH SEPTEMBER WITH INCORRECT LAST NAME ON MY MEDICAL REPORT. So far no further updates. Just waiting. .....

Anyone else would like to share the recent timelines for a study permit from USA (online application).?

You should be hearing from them soon. It took them around one month to process mine. Did you do the biometrics ?

It's been two months already...... T.T
And no, I don't think I need biometrics.
