Apply for TRV from India with a Valid work permit

My husband and I are living in Canada for more than two years and applied for PR under the CEC category. Unfortunately, our PR got rejected, and we don't have TRV. But as we have a work permit valid till April 2022, we can continue living and working in Canada. Meanwhile, we are planning to apply for PR again.

But due to some family issues, I had to travel to India. But as we don't have TRV, I can't go back. Can I still apply for TRV from India as I have a valid work permit till Apr 2022? Or will they also cancel my Work permit if I apply for TRV? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I had my TRV expired, and WP renewal under progress, I had to leave Canada due to family medical emergency in my home country. I received my approved work permit. I have applied for TRV from my home country itself, it is still under process since last 8 months.
