Applied, but not heard back yet!

I applied for permanent residence in Canada 2 months back as a vocational Instructor, which falls under the 38 job categories. My application was received by CIO on 15th October, 2009. But I have not heard back yet. Cant check the status on the website :'( . I think I am not the only person to have that experience. Lets share and try to find out solution...

2 months + 1-2 weeks give or take with the xmas holidays. wait wait wait..

My application reached 05/10/2009, I contacted the call centre and got a strange reply they said that I can expect an answer before 05/02/2010. The call centre officer told me the processing time is gone up to 2 1/2 to 3 months on average.

I contacted the Singapore Office through their website. They replied asking me to wait till Jan. 15, 2009 and then to contact them.
