Hi Everyone,

Kindly advise me on my next best step to do since I've got a confirmation from the bank that my BD is still outstanding. My application was received in the CIO last Sept. 27, 2010 but up to now I haven't received any feedback from them. Would I still wait for their response or shall I send an email to them using this link http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/offices/canada/csu.asp?

Hope to hear some advice from you guys.

Hello Annjay..... i'm from the Phils too, so im sure you purchased the DD with the same bank as mine..... CIO received my kit on Sept 24, I called the bank on Nov. 24 (2 months after)..... they told me that my DD remains to be outstanding... I got worried coz normally it takes two weeks for the DD to be encashed unless there is something wrong with your kit..... I emailed them a week after and lo and behold.... they infromed me that my DD was already encashed last Oct 7, 2010..... here's the email add, try it.... expressonline@bpi.com.ph.... i wanted to call the lady who answered me but the idea of my DD was already encashed empowered me not to ;D....

Dear Wayne,

I want the Draft letter to get the Bank Balance letter from Bank . As i went to my Bank but they told me that they have not special draft for it.

so i am looking for drafting / sample letter which i can use & take all details as per CIO requirements.

Hope you understand it. Please post sample language....

Thanks
Mayank

Hi Mayank,

I know what you are talking about. I took it from HDFC Bank and had to provide them the format on my own.
They were kind enough to use the same language and details I wanted and as a result of that It was accepted fine by CIO.
I have a scanned copy of that and i can provide you the format, But maybe you will have to wait till tomorrow as I don't have the letter with me at the moment.

Hope that will help you.

Regards,
Grasshopper

No PER since long time..!!!!!

What has happened to CIO?? :o IS CIO is sleeping?? :o :o

It is a simple letter

to whomsoever it may concern

Mr. xyz is holding an saving bank account with us since ........

As per our records the balance (on date ....time....) in their account is INR abc ....

Name of the branch
Stamp
Person name and designation signing
Phone number

-------------------

If you have your 3 or 6 months statement then get is attested by branch

No need to address it to CIO,NS. If you ask for that probably bank would not give you. Take the photocopy of Visa Specific checklist and explain the matter to them. Most of the Indian bank knows that it is a applicant bank balance declaration on that date.

I located the spreadsheet. It appears days elapsed between delivery of App and PER (=AOR??) is between 100 and 140 days. This means I will be patient and will only start worrying at the end of March 2011.
I will keep you posted (or do I have to enter the data in the spreadsheet myself?)

Kris

Wow, things are slow today. I'm just hoping the PERs are flying out of the CIO as normal but we're not getting a clear indication. This seems even slower than the Christmas and New year holiday period. I also checked the 2010 PER graph, looks like they were trying to spell out my name. :P

Kris, your details will be added to the spreadsheet by one of our senior members who have access to making changes to it. All the best.

For all applying for FBI PCC
=========
I applied for PCC from FBI towards the end of dec (after receiving my PER on 16 Dec)...got my CC charged
14 Jan...this means the fbi record isnt taking much time(upto 12 weeks is what they usually say).. my first pcc came in aroung 55 days..(this came after i sent the file to the CIO as it was optional to send pcc's with the completed apps to sydney )
hope these dont expire...just wanted all those guys who r thinking of applying for pcc to know this so that they can plan accordingly..

I have an Inquiry regarding the form IM0008_3e - schedule 3 Item no 10:Funds
I answered with 200,000 CAD [It will include all houses, land lots, any share in any prooperty ]
while i provided a bank statement of 35,000 CAD would that be taken as contradiction or i will be asked to prove the amount of 200,000 ??? I didn't receive PER yet but I want to be prepared Please advice

Perhaps they're all busy packing up applications today to send them to the VO via Ottawa? ;D

NEWS FLASH!!!!!!
Effective 1st October 2010, CIO has engaged the services of a high tech courier company for the delivery of reviewed post 26 June, 2010 applications to their Visa offices, and in a recent chat with the CEO of the company SNAIL POST INC, Mr Camel Donkeyrider, he assured all applicants that the previous 120 days needed to submit documents to VOs, would now be reduced to an amazing 60 days, for all visa offices within 3 miles of CIO Nova Scotia office. On how long it will take to get to other visa offices outside this distance , he said, delivery times for all other Visa offices, are unavailable as sufficient final destination data does not exist.
All applicants have been adviced to be patient at this time, and wait for the next end of year update in December 2011 ;D ;D ;D
:o Scarily close to the truth! Hahaha :)

Hi, I thought somebody would answer earlier (this is your second try :)

As I understand rules, you have to provide documents or letters for all your pr'oof of funds. It can be a problem for your application. For example, we got certified the market price of our appartment and other properties. If you don't have such possibility, you at least have to describe how have you estimated this sum (for example that you have a car and on the market in your country such a car with this and that caracteristic would cost xxx money etc.)

As I understood, your application is already send. Or not?

Thanks for your reply Cur-Rozen

My application already received on 30 Nov. 2010, PER not yet but I wanted to be prepared, this will not considered a contradiction?? or only more documents support shall be required?
