Dear bkcnbr and ann-jay:

Your situation might be the same as mine. If you look at my spreadsheet details, it says there that CIO received my application on Oct 11, 2010. I actually first sent my application on August 08, 2010. From then on I have constantly monitored my credit card activity online since this will be my indication that CIO is processing my papers. I have waited almost 2 months with no word from CIO and on October 03, 2010, I got my complete application back (boohoo!) with a letter saying that I lack a few more documents. They were pretty clear on what they need from me (they gave me a list of the missing documents). It was actually my fault since I failed to include the birth cert of my sibling and so on October 08, 2010 I sent to CIO once again the complete application form with the documents they requested from me. I even sent back a copy of the letter they sent me just to make sure that the documents I have added are the only ones they requested. On October 11, 2010 they received my package and on October 20, my credit card was charged.

I really hope that you are not in the same situation because if they give you back your application due to incomplete docs then it only means that you have to go back to zero in terms of your timeline. However, if it is the same case, then you just have to stay focused and positive, and just give them whatever else they need from you. This is way better than getting an NER right?

I hope my experience sheds some light to what you're going through.

IMPORTANT ADVICE TO ALL WHO HAVE USED THEIR CREDIT CARD AS PAYMENT:
I have read in one of the forums here that some applications are being sent back by CIO because the credit card is declined. What I did in my case was to call my bank and informed them that I have authorized a transaction in the amount of $xxxx.xx to be made by CIO for the months of XXXXXX up to XXXXXXX ( i think i gave the bank a 6-month window just in case). The risk of using credit card is when your bank (for security purposes) puts the transaction on hold until they verify from the account holder if the transaction is a valid one.Hence, I gave strict instructions to my bank NOT to decline the transaction.

Again, hope this helps anybody in this forum :)

Hi Everyone,

Kindly advise me on my next best step to do since I've got a confirmation from the bank that my BD is still outstanding. My application was received in the CIO last Sept. 27, 2010 but up to now I haven't received any feedback from them. Would I still wait for their response or shall I send an email to them using this link http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/offices/canada/csu.asp?

Hope to hear some advice from you guys.

Dear Paddy,

Its bad to hear about your NER? I hope u will find another way to submit your application.

Good Luck

Kittu

Almost 2 months now from first PER. The files have not reached VO. Since it is a change in process, taking more time than what we expected. Let us wait and watch for the first mail from any of the VO on next process step.

This keeps the post 26 June thread more alive and the people busy. This is the fastest thread on this forum reaching 11500+ post in 6 months time. The only one thread is having 20,000+ post in 2+ years time. Hope this thread would cross 20,000 before mid Feb. :) :) :)

Hi Guys,

Please remove my name from the tracker.Gotta NER.

Myexpereince was not supported and convincing forthe VO from the offer letter and relieving letter.they wanted to have a reference letter specifying clearly the roles and responsibilities, which I tried to get but no one provided from the company.

Unfortunately,no one fromHR supports in providing roles and responsibilities in here.

Any suggestions from the sucessfulNOC1122 guys?

Hi Pradeep,

Very sorry to hear this news. After all these:( :(. Wait, that's not the end of it :). There are numerous ways to immigrate to Canada, and so, start your research. The best option would be to find arranged employment(i know that's difficult, but not impossible - We know that so many people out there are able to get AEOs :o :o :o

Good luck :) I hope 1122 will be open again in July and guess what? You already have all the papers ready, no need to do the IELTS again :P :P. You just need to get that reference letter ready and you have some time for that :). If only you did not manage to get an AEO before that.

Thanks,

Indira Prabhakaran.

wow :D :D

That's what we call coincidence :) Well, i guess there is no need to provide any more papers except for PCCs(or any special requests) to the VO.

But why does it take more than 2 months for the applications to arrive @ the VOs? In transit or swimming :P :P :P?

Thanks,

Indira Prabhakaran.

How many months does it take for the application to be sent to VO?
I think the bulk of the application processing is consumed by transit times.

Thanks

Hi Annjay,

I am also sept'23 applicant and waiting for PER. When i asked my bank to inquire about whether DD en-cashed or not then they said it may take 7-10 working days to know it (with charge of 250/-:)). I believe, lets wait for 1week more and then we can send direct email to CIO. At this point we only can do is waiting.

Hope for the best.
