Hi Mani,

I am a September applicant too. However, I received my AOR on February 17. I have a theory on this. Since the 1122 NOC was the first to get filled, I am guessing that there are a limited amount of visas that a VO can issue each month/year, so they may have staggered the MR requests for the 1122 applicants. My theory is that they would want to proportionally distribute visas across NOCs. This is just a guess though as I cannot think of any other explanation for this.

Hey Mikey,

If thats the case.. how could they send the medical to a 20th Oct applicant with noc 1122 ..(Have a look into spreadsheet) and you are 20 Sept applicant! ... Are you employed or self employed?

Guys, i can understand your frustration, but please note that they will do a deeper background/documentation check for a small percentage of applications and it might be that you fall into that small group? Please hang on, you will receive medicals soon. I definitely can understand the feeling of left out on the list, even if i experienced it for a week or 2.

Thanks,

Indira Prabhakaran.

Hey Indira,

Thanks for understanding our situation.. but don't you think that VO need to start processing our file to do background checks etc. With status RBVO, i dont think they are doing checks on our files. Its just that the files are with them and they are yet to look into them. The background checks/ document checks reasons look valid if our status is IN process, but its not.

Hey Rohan,

Thanks :)

As for your queries...

CIIP (Canadian Immigrant Integration Program) is a program that the VO recommends while sending MR for immigrants to attend before leaving for Canada....its not mandatory, just that its helpful in many ways....www.newcomersuccess.ca/....check out this link...

DMP means designated medical practitioner....CIC has a list of DMP's across all countries who are authorised to conduct our medicals when we receive our medical requests form....the list is mentioned in the CIC site ( http://www.cic.gc.ca/dmp-md/medical.aspx )...."Form A" is the medical summary sheet that the visa office sends along with the medical request letter for all the members mentioned in the application :)

Hi Jeniya,

We will have to register with CIIP first...its an online registration form....After that they'll notify about the availability....I heard from Shwetha that the next available date in Bangalore is in May ::)

We're planning on attending CIIP once we get our medical requests (you can't take it before med requests, nor can you take it after you've already landed). IMO it is worth doing since it is free :)

Not sure even that stacks - how does that theory explain the 2 London October applicants to receive medical requests when all of July, August and September are still waiting?

Personally I think they dropped the entire pile of applications and stacked them back up again in a random order ;)
