Hi Guys. I have a question re. Getting certified as P.Eng.
I read two regions:
- Alberta (APEGA) and
- Ontario (PEO)
But I am slightly confused with reference letter/proof of experience.
In APEGA's website it says that refence must be a Prof.Eng. How can I get reference from P.Eng. if I don't know anyone who is P.Eng in my company and my experience is abroad, not in Canada?
As for Ontario, it is clearer, as it requires one year Canadian experience and of the reference must be from P.Eng.
How can/should applicants who have non Canadian experience apply for APEGA?
As of me I have 7 years of experience in Instrumentation and Control, haven't moved to Canada yet, and working in Kazakhstan.
I though of getting P.Eng. before moving in to Canada as it would help me to find jobs quicker.
Thank you,
Aigerim
