Hello dear members,
I am an Engineer-In-Training (Civil) with APEGA and also a Canadian PR. I lost my job due to Covid-19 in April and having a tough time securing a job since then. I only need a few more months of Canadian work experience to become eligible to apply for P.Eng licensure.
I have started to put more effort in opportunities outside of Alberta which brings me to a question. Please provide your thoughts on the following -
1. Will having an EIT status in other province(s) increase my chance of securing a job in that particular province? (Although my resume mentions that I am a registered EIT with APEGA)
2. What else would you suggest I should do to improve my chances? (Unable to network with people efficiently like I could do during pre-covid times.)
P.S. if you know other active discussion forums for EIT/P.Eng. related discussions, please share.
Thank you.
