I have receieved Notice to Deny" based on not enough points. I have three questions:
1. Do they not go by the points displayed on the chart in the website? For example, age says 21 - 49 =10 they gave me 0, she said it was because I was over 40, I am 47. Also I have a job offer; site says 10 points they only gave me 5.
2. They did not accept my two trade school certificates/diplomas (she said they don't accept private schools) But one of them is schooling I took in order to take and pass NYS exam and requirements for my Cosmotologist license. Is there any documentation I can provide to get my two diplomas accepted.
3. Experience they gave me 0, is it because I did not provide letters from my past employers showing the work experience, if I send the letters will I then get 15 or 21 points as I have more than 10 years experience?
Absolutley any help would be great as I only have 30 more days to submit additional docmumentation.
Thank you very much!

no replies? :( Can someone refer me to someone or womewhere I could get an answer?
Thank You!

Well since you didn't send any proof that you were employed in a skilled occupation, you would get 0 that kills the application right there.
It really doesn't matter if what the other points were if you didn't prove that you worked in a category A&B or O occupation in the past 10 years. Shows what happens when you don't read instructions.

Reading the instructions, point taken. Unfortunately I relied on the employer to advise me on a process I was not fully educated on, my fault..lesson learned. However I do have the 60 days to provide this information as this is the "Intent to Deny" I have the letters showing the work experience, will this give me the 15 points, also the age points is concerning me, online it says 21 to 49, but a receptionist whom answered the phone when I called, said I get 0 for age because I am over 40, I am just trying to find an accurate chart of points to go by, or is it just up to Quebec's discretion.

It would have been nice if you told everyone that you were applying to Quebec, which has it own selection criteria compared to the Federal system. Quebec age, 10 points for 23-30, deduct 1 point for each year over 30, so if you are 40 you get 0.

PMM, thank you for the informative website. With 1548 postings you must have been here for alot of people with assistance. However, I have to admit, the feeling of sarcasm in your responses to me is very disheartening. Perhaps a bit more patience, or simply omitting the sarcasm would make seeking assistance here a much better experience for newbies like myself.
Again I thank you for your assistance, and will do my very best to be fully informative any future postings.

If you don't like the way I phrase my answers, so be it. But remember if a poster omits information, all the people answering are doing is guessing. Some posters seem to have the inability to do Google searches, or at least look at the official web site, www.cic.gc.ca. The inability to follow directions and instructions when completing the applications, results in the greater proportion of the 50% failure rate in the Skilled Worker class, whereas had the applicant read and then re-read the instructions and submitted a bullet proof application with every base covered, they would not be required to go to interviews, would not have repeated requests for additional information, and the refusals.

Note I answer questions on this forum and others out of the "goodness of my heart", I don't get paid, nor receive any benefits but contribute my time so that prospective immigrants know what they face and how to deal with the process. If it isn't wanted, I can move on.

PM yes I understand and am in total agreement of the need to follow instructions read and reread, etc. I indeed have done many google searches as well. Unfortunately I should have done more on my own rather than believe the employer knew what they were doing. As you mentioned I should have checked and rechecked before sending..
I am thankful for the answers you have provided "out of the goodness of your heart", I meant no offense. Assistance, answers and resources is why I am here. Wish I had come here to this site BEFORE I sent anything in, rather than after.
Is it possible for me to change from Quebec to another location, or do I have to start all over again. I went with Quebec because that was where my job offer was from and thought I would make the points. Unfortunately I was going by the wrong point system. It appears I would do much better in another location even without the job offer.
Again, any assistance you can offer would be appreciated. Thank you
