whats happening?

Its almost 6 months since my 120 days are over...

WTF is happening in Buffalo!!

Don't expect much from Buffalo until the March of next year (2010). As of now, there are many folks, who applied in late 2008 and early 2009, awaiting some response from Buffalo. If you applied in mid to late 2009, expect some response within the next 7-9 months from now (depends on your case too).

I do not think that there are any seriouse updates from Buffalo, it looks like they are punishing people who are living in canada and the united states by delaying their applications to the death !! i have not even seen a one single case received a FSW visa under the new rules from Buffalo !!!

I hope that they change their strategy by the beginning of 2010, for me i stoped checking my e-case because i know that Buffalo is a dead office

There are at least 50 applicants who got their visas under the new rules through Buffalo. That is from trackitt.com. I am sure there is many more than that 50 who did not put their details on trackitt.

I wonder how many of those 50 are FSW1.

I am also checking trackitt. It does look like Buffalo has approved more applicants since Feb 2008 and since Nov 2008 than any other visa offices. The average time to visa for those who applied in nov 2008, was 7.9 months. The average time seems to be consistently coming down. None approved from Dec 2008 onwards. I am sure that will happen next.

Good luck all.

Hi rupeshhari...can you explain how you got this number? (7.9 months).
I dont see any approvals for people who applied in Nov 2008 yet on trackitt...

sorry i read it wrong.

http://www.trackitt.com/canada-immigration-trackers/federal-skilled-workers/monthly-approvals

None were approved. They were denied in 7.9 months :(

I think GC processing is much faster (4 to 5 years)...- :)

On a serious note.... Other offices seem to be moving faster
There should be at least some update on regular basis (like GC - LUD-SLUD and 3 step process)

rupeshari

whats your status.. mine ecas shows "recieved by......." from last 8 months... (longest wait for anything so far)

Mine is received by....for the last 9months,....so I win :)

They said if I don't hear anything from them within a year, I should contact them.

ADA - Are you in CA or US? If in US, you should use the time to look for a job there. That is what I am doing. Its of course, not easy to get a job there while living in the US but it would be great to get a job that side.

Well...no intention to depress you guys...but mine is received by...for the last 10 months already...
On the other hand...timeframe ABOVE 7.9 month doesnt look too bad anymore, right? :).

I'm waiting for over a year now (Application received on November 13th 2008). Relax guys!

Mine is also over 9 months..

Now its time ( Hopefully )

I got an email update on Thursday (12/3) that my application has been transferred to LA consulate. Does that mean anything?
I had sent my full application in May 2009

Exact wordings:
"In order to expedite the processing of your application, your file has been sent to:

Canadian Consulate General

550 South Hope Street, 9th floor

Los Angeles,
California 90071 "
