Hello,
Today I linked my application (MPNP) [paper based] to GCKey based online account. I found that there are several steps such as:

Application status We are processing your application. We will send you a message when there is an update or if we need more information from you. Help - Application status
Review of eligibility :We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements. Help - Review of eligibility
Review of medical results :You do not need a medical exam. We will send you a message if this changes. Help - Review of medical results
Review of additional documents :The additional documents you provided have been uploaded. Help - Review of additional documents
Interview :You do not need an interview. We will send you a message if this changes. Help - Interview
Biometrics: We do not need your fingerprints. We will send you a message if this changes. Help - Biometrics
Background check :We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information. Help - Background check
Final decision :Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made.

However, from GCMS notes It was stated that, eligibility passed, medical passed, criminality passed. I just wonder why in GCkey its showing eligibility is under review. Anybody could shed some light. How long should I have to wait. My medical is already expired.

Thanks and regards,

Eusufzai

hello, I recently got PPR. I submitted my passports. But one thing is bugging me which is I didn't show my credit card debt in my application because they were not the part of Proof of funds. Now as per Bangladesh bank regulations my passport has endorsement seal against my credit card. Is it going to create any problem?

Dear friends,

I have received my visa (valid till first week of Feb. 2018) and COPR. I am planning to land in the first week of Jan. 2018.

I need your kind advice on my landing options. I am willing to land and settle either in Toronto or Ottawa. I actually don't have any close relative at any part of Canada. So all provinces are same to me. However, I am considering factors like living expenses, job opportunities, weather, diversity and access to higher education (PhD) in making my decision about landing.

I know Toronto is a bigger, diverse and more vibrant city. Bigger cities offer more job opportunities but the level of competition is also high. Toronto also has a larger corporate landscape, which adds to the diverse job opportunities of the city. The cultural and entertainment options are also abundant compared to Ottawa. Also Toronto has a larger Asian migrant community, which makes you feel at home. Toronto also has a warmer weather compared to Ottawa. However, Toronto is more expensive and hyper. It's a bit like London, where I stayed for my Postgraduate study for sometimes.

Ottawa, on the other hand, is less expensive and has a lower unemployment rate. It's less hyper and less competitive to some extent (correct me if I am wrong). However, many people say being bilingual gives you an edge in getting a job in Ottawa. It's also a bit colder than Toronto and many people say it's a boring city.

I will be grateful if friends in the forum help me make a wiser decision.

Should it be Toronto or Ottawa?

I am not super rich by the way! I work in the higher education sector.
Everything you heard and then said is true except the part where someone said "Ottawa is boring city". It's perhaps boring compared to Toronto; but there are other medium to smaller cities in Ontario, more specifically in Southern Ontario which are then "dead" cities. I live in such city where the population is only 75,000.

Let's come to the point. For a newcomer, I would always advise to come to Toronto (GTA) first for all the reasons you mentioned. Moreover, it has the best public transport in the country, most diverse and more dynamic than any other city in Canada. At the same time, you should be flexible as well to move wherever you find a good job.

Hello everyone,

This is my first post here. I just needed to know something regarding the Educational Credential Assessment (ECA).
I have finished my MBA from Independent University, Bangladesh, and my BBA from East West University.

Is there anyone else who is having a same combination of academic qualification?
During the score calculation, what you think I should consider? Masters or 4 years bachelor?
For your information, I would also like to tell you, that I have finished 16 courses on MBA.

Thanks!

Sorry for late reply. I sent the hard copy via DHL but I think it didn't matter, because I got PPR (within next working day) even before the hard copy arrives. So, i think only uploading is sufficed. I think you've already got your PPR.

I was hoping to settle in a small city/town in Canada, away from Toronto. Leaving Dhaka and don't want to land in another crazy big city. I really miss a simple laid back life. But relatives are discouraging saying my child would be discriminated in schools and everywhere. Is it the case? I am ready to face some diversity and intolerance but is it that bad?

Hi, I'm in a dire situation. My wife is an international student in Canada. She was having severe breathing difficulties and had a seizure last night. We had to call 911 and now she's in hospital for last 18 hours. Doctors are taking her for scans and might be brain damage. I don't know what to do. It feels so helpless as her man. I mailed the embassy in Dhaka, might try calling or visiting them tomorrow. I don't know what to do. Please advise me what to do
