Hi

I have an OWP and my wife has a PGWP. My wife has been working full time since Sept 2020 in a related occupation etc etc but got promoted in january of 2021.

Total full time work on PGWP is ten months but only 5 of those are in the current occupation.

The AINP website seems to suggest that you need to be in your current occupation for 6 months before you can apply for AINP, is that true?

tried calling alberta.ca but their phone advise line has been closed!

Studied in alberta, work in alberta etc etc

been full time for 9 months but got promoted within the organization after 5 months so only 4 months in my current role, even though its the same employer.

Seems mad that I cant take a promotion and a 20k pay rise if it affects my ability to apply for AINP by resetting the clock.

Did your NOC change? Does your NOC match your education too?

There’s not a specific noc for either. One is programs manager the other is office manager. Both in a HOA. So you could argue they are the same noc I suppose.

lateral promotion sort of thing. Both report to gm but the other was a lot more money.

And the NOC matches your Alberta education. Check the NOC and see if it even changes as it is still a managerial position.

i would say the NOC for both was 0114 - other administrative service managers.

first job was program coordinator, promotion was to office manager.

the alberta education was a post-diploma in health and human services management. from the bow valley website;
