Dear PMM,

I have a 17-yr old daughter who landed Canada June 2003, left for the Philippines to continue her studies October 29, 2003. She has the new PR card to expire June 2008 and a valid passport. She can still meet her obligation to be physically present in Canada for 2 yrs in a 5-yr period.

Is there any special provision that can exempt her from accumulating the 2-yr stay in Canada to keep her PR status and instead extend her stay in the Philippines to finish her Nursing course which she is on her 2nd yr now?

Thank you. God bless.

respectfully yours,
Jaime

Nope, she returns by 28/10/2006 or her PR status is gone. You would have to sponsor her.
