My name is Édnei, I am 33 years old and I live with my wife in Brazil.
Well, I guess that you will think: " Hey, you live in Brazil, why are you here ?". So, I am here to two things:
1) Improve my english skill;
2) Get a opportunity to move to NZ.
I will be honest with you, My goal is to try a new life in other country. I will explain the why.
Brazil will be always a potential country, with a greater potential in production, in the economy, in the growth, but the truth is we will never achieve this potential. In the last decade, We reached our peak, with a lot of money and a stable economy. So, I enjoyed the opportunity and improve my career. I studied a lot, did some certifications and I started a Engineer degree. Besides that, I worked a lot, trying to improve my IT Skills. So, good jobs and apparently Our country was going to the right way. Well, I thought...
Ten years later, I am living in the middle of crime high rate, crowded hospitals, dirty streets, impunity in the law (People doesn't respect the rules and the law), politicians being arrested, instable economy and a government without money to fix the situation....So, Why Must I live here ? I did my job, I paid taxes, I helped the society respecting the law and respecting the others. Do I deserve this ?
For the worst, the people doesn't get it what is happening with our society and, now, I have fear of the future, because i am feeling a increasing Hate in the people ( in the bandits too). Besides that, due a crise, As our government doesn't have money and doesn't have a plan to improve the our security, so, I have always fear.
I am not overreacting, live at Porto Alegre isn't easy. Each day, We have two or three deads because of the "War of drugs" and We really have a increasing challenge between the gangues ( Drug dealers). Besides that, each hour, we have cars robbed, armed robbery ( in the bus or in the car too) and A illegal market to sell the robbery material. Well, as you see, a uncontrolled situation here.
So, the good people is hit by this problem and, for me, this situation is to much. For me, I need a good place to continue my life. I am a good Guy, I know society value ( empathy, co-operation and respect) and I want a chance to fell how is live in a good place, with peace, with good people and with good goverment ( That return your tax).
Well, sorry for the long text, but i want the people understand why I am here.
