5 months early visa

I got my canada student s1 visa 5 months early so can i go there ryt now or i should wait for a month or more.. .? my course is starting in September and i got my visa in April .please help

No . You should not go there 5 months early . Recently a student was denied entry because of this and was asked to return in july .

Yes I agree it is very unusual to arrive so early. You would need to show you had the extra funds to stay in Canada without working and explain why you needed to arrive so early.

Agree with above 6-8 weeks before course starts would probably be the maximum and even then CBSA will need convincing you can support self financially without starting any illegal work. Most people would suggest 1 month early is sufficient enough to sort things out, accomodation and so on.

My college starts in September and I have a visa since 26th Feb, still I have booked my tickets for 3rd of july.. Because 1.5-2 months early is ok if you have a valid reason but 5 months is too much...
