Hi sultanali,

When did you first send your application with CNO? In what country did you finish your nursing degree? Do you have 16 years total of Formal education? :) They didn't require you bridging programs?

hi, well..for me, it took 2 months b4 they replied and ask for some supplemental documentations like employers letter regarding my job description, forms to be filled-up by the polytech here in NZ wherein i had my training and the assessement pack to be answered...and then from then, it took them around 2 months again to reply. Fortunately, they are allowing me to take crne after those paperwork. You can phone or email them, they are quite accommodating. Good luck to your apps!

Hello, I plan to take my crne exam this February 2011. I am just wondering what book did you guys use? I bought the crne prep guide from the CNO website, but its all questions. I thought there will be a reviewer too.

I only have the old saunders for my Nclex exam :p

Go to amazon.ca; you'll find a lippincott and saunders for CRNE there. Do not use NCLEX reviewer as from my observation CRNE questions are presented so diffferently from NCLEX. Other lab values are different as well, and of course the legal and cultural aspects are different too.

thanks guys for the your quick responses :-* :-*... i should contact CNO then. my credit card is yet to be charged too... God bless fellow RNs! ;D

To those who have applied in CRNM please help me out with this:

Since i can't yet send completed application (i'm short of one requirement, which is the proof of immigration status). what else can i do in preparation for the application, while waiting for the PR visa?

Somebody in the forum actually mentioned about IQAS. However as i've checked CRNM website i thought i should go about with the 5 requirements first (english proficiency exam, ID,app forms, app fee, proof of immigration status.

I've decided to consider Manitoba now since i received an email from CRNBC stating that i need to go through SEC. Now, SEC isn't the only problem. As i've browsed through some post in a nursing forum nursing jobs are very hard to find now a days in British Columbia and Ontario becasuse of funding freeze in hospitals.

So i might as well be ready with alternatives.

Hi fellow nurses!

I just want to ask those nurses who are already in Canada, can we work as LPN while waiting for our registration there? Thanks.

Yes, if you have an LPN license. You have to undergo same procedure in registering for CRNE but they are more lenient with the requirements because they only require photocopy of required documents.

I'm not yet in Canada tho, but I've already made some research about it.

Too bad, I've already downloaded mosby and saunders nclex question for my iphone/ipod touch. I thought it will help me.
