Guys i landed nov 2015 here in canada as immigrant. They said im not allowed to sponsor my newly husband till i get 3years here because im still under my sisters responsiblity who sponsored me. Is that relevant?

I think you have a much bigger problem, since you indicated in another thread that you did not declare your husband (who was your common-law partner) when you landed. This not only prevents you from ever sponsoring him, but may also jeopardize your own PR, if CIC finds out about this now.

If you lived at the same address for 12 months or more as bf/gf, then you were in a common law relationship. It doesn't matter where you were married.

Sorry, but since you said that you had lived together for 1 full year (even longer) and then lived separately...you were still considered common-law on the day that you landed, because you were still `together' in the relationship. No matter how you try to justify it...you landed without declaring him.
