I waited for more than 5 months after decision made so your timing could be "normal" (in IRCC terms LOL)... During that time I sent my local IRCC office emails but not sure if that helped or not. I feel that contacting the local office is much more helpful than calling the call centre or sending...

My ceremony was in the afternoon, then my application closed on 14th and certificate dispatched on 15th. If you live in Halifax, maybe you should email them to see what's going on...

UPDATE: Certificate received on 19 Oct 2021. This could be my last update about my application but I will stay here for a bit longer. After nearly 2 years, this forum is feeling like "home" now. Feel free to DM me if you have any questions and I will try my best to help! :D

I received my certificate today, exactly 7 days after the ceremony. The citizenship marathon has finally completed! :D A little bit info about the ceremony... There were about 40 people in my ceremony (all from NS) and it appears Halifax Office scheduled 4 ceremonies in one day. They are...

They will send you a PDF in the oath invite. If you choose to sign electronically, you will sign it using the electronic signature you created in Adobe Acrobat / Reader after the ceremony and email them the signed PDF. They don't have to witness you signing the form. :)

Thanks!! I noticed they recently speed up a little bit after a months-long pause... But this depends on the office for sure, each office is very different... I really hope you can get this process done soon! I will keep you updated! :)

I have an update... My oath is scheduled on 12 Oct 2021! Halifax Office is definitely back to work! :D

I've been waiting for the oath since May too! Let's keep emailing IRCC Halifax! Something is definitely not right there...

Congratulations!! :D At least now I see IRCC Halifax is moving again after pausing ceremonies for almost half a year! I've been in DM for 4.5 months and that makes me feel they might have lost my file somewhere LOL

From the citizenship side they are pretty much stopped but I am not sure about PR tho... The processing of citizenship and PR are not related so it's hard to say... If you post this question to the PR forum maybe there are some people know the PR side of the Halifax Office! :)

They must have, but it still cannot explain why IRCC offices in other parts of Canada are still sending oath invites while IRCC Halifax has stopped for months... This is more like a local problem...

IRCC has a complaint form on their website, but you know, I seriously doubt if they actually look at these complaints! LOL

I also emailed them recently, they replied very quickly but it was a standard response just like what @zeyzey6 got... I've lost hope in them... :(

Maybe it's a good idea to ask our Canadian friends to write to their MPs and "threaten" them if this problem can't be solved before the federal election, they will vote for the opposition! It's a good opportunity to put the pressure on! :D

Congrats!! However I've been waiting for the oath since 03 May, almost 3 months now... Halifax Office is definitely slow in terms of the oath... :(

This is very rare... most people's statuses turn to complete almost immediately after the interview... I guess this is why they sent an internal email to Halifax office to follow up. Fingers crossed... I really hope this will work for you!
