indian e-visa takes a day to get. applied earlier this year, albeit with a non-canadian passport.

I passed it today! had an extensive travel history & lived abroad for sometime during my eligibility period; no questions asked besides a "you've been all over the place" comment. =P

received an email on September 10, 2019; my citizenship test will be on October 12. I am in Vancouver.

sounds like something is wrong. did you check your status on cic's website to make sure they actually havent schedule a date for your oath? perhaps you missed the email? have you called the cic office?
