    PR card application

Did you get your new SIN? Also, do you get it by mail or email? Am asking because we have been self-isolating at a family's remote place for 2 months, since we usually live in a highly-impacted area. I'm worried that if the SIN comes in the mail, we will not be home to receive it and make the...

    COVID-19 and Landing Plan

I'm not sure I understand. Why would only someone who raised a webform be on a list and not everyone currently waiting for an inland landing interview? Is it the process of sending CoPR by email without interview that only started last week? We have been waiting for the Montreal office to...

Hope you guys are all doing well considering the current situation. We received the (I guess) pre-landing letter back in February and were waiting to hear from the Mtl office. Was told it could take up to 6 weeks (which would have brought us somewhere in April) but then lovely Covid happened...

    Montreal inland landing (walk-in)

I Inland! I do not understand how they treat files.... Some were just told to show up, other received an appointment in the week along with their DM letter, some get their DM after us and yet get an appointment before us. All for inland spousal sponsorship, all in the Montreal office.

    ****October 2018**** INLAND SPOUSE SPONSORSHIP

Congratulations! Did you go? The letter saying to just show up to the Montreal office, was it the DM letter or another letter? I received DM letter and am now waiting for Montreal office to contact us to set up an appointment. I'm getting increasingly frustrated, as everyone has an entirely...

    ****October 2018**** INLAND SPOUSE SPONSORSHIP

October 2018 here! Received DM letter 3 weeks ago and waiting for a landing appointment at local office... CIC says it could take up to 8 weeks before we are contacted, although I see people getting appointments wayyy faster than us. I understand nothing of the logic behind this whole process.

    ****October 2018**** INLAND SPOUSE SPONSORSHIP

Congrats! I received the DM letter on Feb 19, but the letter said the Montreal office would contact us directly to set up a landing appointment. Were you contacted directly by the Montreal office or was the appointment set up directly in the DM letter?

    Montreal inland landing (walk-in)

So I just called the Call Centre (again), they say that the Montreal Office has up to 8 weeks to contact us. That even though others may have been contacted already, it's normal and we have to wait. It just seems very frustrating to me that they don't treat our files on a...

    Montreal inland landing (walk-in)

Still nothing... Someone who received the DM letter on Feb 24 already received the pre-landing letter from the Montreal Office. I don't understand how they go about treating our files.

I received the DM letter on February 19, but have yet to hear from the Montreal office for the pre-landing email... I don't understand how they process our files. Someone elsewhere told me their lawyer said it usually takes 2-3 weeks to receive the pre-landing email... Reaching the 3-week mark.

    Montreal inland landing (walk-in)

Congrats on your PR!! We received a DM letter saying the Montréal office would contact us to schedule an appointment. Was this what you received as well? I'm just so impatient for my spouse to get his PR, if we can just show up without an appointment, that would be awesome!

WOW! Ok, je me sens moins folle. Hopefully, if more of us call Quebec, maybe they will realize that CIC is giving out confusing info and try and rectify that?

    Common Law while Living Abroad!

Hey! My spouse and I became common-law abroad before moving here and applying inland. We had a rental agreement for a place that was furnished, had insurances included and utilities--therefore we had no common bills. So what we did was get our individual phone bills that had the same address, I...

    ****JUNE 2018 INLAND Application****

Can you request that they send an message directly to the immigration agent to follow up? When you call IRCC, you get generic answers, and they don't know all that much on the file... However, they can send a message to the immigration agent assigned to your file to request a status on what is...

2019 Quebec Inland Spouse/Common law sponsorship applicants only

We are Oct 2018 applicants First of all, I can't believe how often they seem to change their process? We received medical exam request in Jan 2019, so less than 3 months after applying, and it now seems to take over a year? Same with CSQ, we received the request in Nov 2018, so right after AOR...

Following my last post, we just got an update! In late January, I asked for a follow-up to be sent directly to the immigration agent working on our file; I was informed it could take up to a month for them to reply. Well we just received some kind of letter--I'm not sure what it means...

I was told as well by CIC that the delay was due to Qc. They've been telling me this since last September (reached the 12 months mark in October, so now at the 16th month). I got annoyed and called (again) in late January and was told (again) the delay was due to Qc and to contact the Qc...
