Have you also applied for the 5 year e-visa? My travel is April next year. Will wait a few months to see if current one processes else will apply for 1 year. I think ours will be processed only if they restart the 5 year evisa.

Hello I applied for a 30 day evisa in June, got it in 10 hours and visited India. I applied for a 5 year evisa on 21 Sep, then ban happened on 22nd, been in limbo since. Today evisa opened with only upto 1 year eligibility; so I have a feeling that's why mine is still not approved.

Creating a separate thread to not divert other threads. This is for people who had applied before the ban and their e-visa status has been in limbo. What's the current status? I know someone was mentioning their visa for granted for 1 year. Anyone with 5 year application?

Hey final question...was yours a 1 year or 5 year visa? I had applied for 5. Hearing that evisa is only open for 1 year.

It takes about 48 hours is what I heard. If you don't have urgent travel, why not just wait for normal entry visa to process.

I guess you are right. Since I have 2 applications in system (one approved in June), the advanced doesn't work for me since it only asks for passport. I guess once the latest application is approved, it will show the latest result.

So I applied for 1 month in June (thinking I'll come back and apply OCI). Went to India and came back, smooth process. When there were rumours of ban, I applied on 21st sep for 5 years, which was stuck. Today I'm unable to check in advanced status since that is generic without application...

So your current application just before ban has been granted? When I try to check status, it only asks for passport, and the status shows my June application granted which is already expired. How do I check my current application?

I'm on the same boat. When I check application status, it shows my previous granted ETA. I'll wait a couple of days to see if it processes.

Obviously no one knows the answer, but for the e-visa applications in limbo, is it expected that it will be processed and approved once it restarts or are will we be expected to apply again? The fees I've anyway considered as sunk cost.

One question regarding legal name change application. Is it mandatory to provide birth certificate?
