My status online didn't change till a few days before my oath although I got my oath date right after my test, so I don't think that affects anything at all. No one can tell what really happens really, so we just gotta be patient :)

If they sent you an email notification, there won't be anything via mail. Just take the printed letter and that'll be enough! Good Luck :)

They don't always update right away..for me it only updated a few days before my oath date which was about a month after my test. So don't worry :)

It just means that 'if' they need additional documents or fingerprinting etc, they will contact you otherwise you are all good. Don't worry too much! Just wait patiently for your oath letter! :)

Hi, I was wondering if anybody has had any experience applying for an OCI on behalf of their family? I need to do it for my sister since she works almost every day and I thought I could help her out. I just need to know if the applicant absolutely must be there in person or will a family member...

Really depends on the number of people taking the oath that day. I had mine in Mississauga and there were about 95-100 people taking their oath and the whole thing probably took about 3hrs. Just to be on the safe side..take 4hrs off work then, or take the day off and celebrate! :)

There's really nothing you can do about it but patiently wait.. As you must have read.. No one can really help you as long as you are within the 12 month timeline. Don't stress about it..it'll happen :)

They will just take your PR card but everyone still carries the originals of everything just in case..I left mine in my car but didn't need it..

I don't think they will consider that as urgent..they'll most likely ask you to change your address when you move so when it is time for your oath it'll be in the new location. That's alright..if that's what you've stated on your application. They just want to make sure nothing has changed since you applied and if there is a change, they just need the details. Don't worry about it!

They just ask about your current employment, check your passport stamps and all the original IDs- No big deal :)
