Canadian Passport - Mail-In Application Timelines

Application Received @ Gatineau (from BC): March 30 Phoned in to verify status (Pending Approval): April 22 CC Charged: April 26 As suspected by others here, it appears that the 20 business day processing standard is based on the date the credit card is charged – hence, if you study folk’s...

Yep. Submitted August 20, 2020, Test Completed November 2020, DM January 2022, was called and emailed that day by Vancouver LVO Officer and told it would take 2-6 months for oath from then. She sounded around my age or younger, and chill. Don’t worry, we’re almost there ;)

    April 2019 applications

Oufff, so sorry to hear about that. When it comes to confidential and time-sensitive shipments, ALWAYS use a trackable/insurable method. At this point, it looks like most AORs issued these days are for mid-July, given your timeline – I strongly suggest you submit again, via courier.

    September 2020 - Citizenship Applicants

Yes, very normal. If you follow the threads more carefully (July 2020) you will notice that yesterday and today many July 13th/14th applicants are receiving AOR just now. Many of those of us August applicants (mine was delivered August 20th) are still awaiting AOR, with minor exceptions for...

    August 2020 - Citizenship application

Personally, what I would do is request an ATIP to CBSA for entry/exits and compare them to your passport entries/exits – if something stands out, or you forgot to declare, then provide these alongside the form that was suggested above. Additionally, it doesn't help to speculate, and the only one...

    August 2020 - Citizenship application

In accordance to the Canadian Chapter of Rights and Freedoms, all residents of Canada have the liberty to take up residence anywhere in the country, so this wouldn't be the case at all. It would more likely be a case of them questioning the applicant's work or travel history.

    August 2020 - Citizenship application

RC stands for 'Regional Centre' which is basically another type of IRCC office, like the Case Processing Centre or Centralized Intake Office. It sounds to me like your file is in queue for an additional verification of residency requirements, but I can't say where this is for sure, as I don't...

    August 2020 - Citizenship application

When it comes to this part of the process, it is very difficult to advise given that it is in the background check stages, however, if you could mention which section of your GCMS notes you found this, or better yet, a screenshot (with all personal information blank) it could help. As previously...
